Welcome to Park Falls, Wisconsin - Just Off the Beaten Path

The Park Falls Area proudly offers a wide variety of trail experiences that will captivate every ATV/UTV enthusiast! Our area trail systems give access to over one million acres of public land! The Flambeau Trails System is an interconnecting network of trails which vary in length from less than one mile to over 23 miles. Many lakes, streams and the South Fork of the Flambeau River are accessible from the Flambeau Trails. The Tuscobia State Trail is an abandoned rail corridor turned recreational trail. From Park Falls in the heart of Price County, riders can travel non-stop to Birchwood located on the western-most edge of Sawyer County. It is the connecting bloodline to several other area trails. We offer a convenient trail head with loading/unloading ramp and ample parking at the beginning of the trail right in Park Falls. The Flambeau River State Forest Trail gives access to 90,000 acres of forest land along two branches of the scenic Flambeau River. The Dead Horse Run Trail offers a vast array of terrain types. Much of the trail has firm tread however, there is some rugged terrain and some sections go throught wetter soils where pools of water may even be be present. Try it if you feel you are up to the challenge! The Georgetown Trail is located entirely in the Price County Forest, with a mostly gravel surface. It meanders through a variety of forest types. Parking areas with loading/unloading ramp are located on both the north and south ends of the trail. The newly constructed Solberg Lake Trail is now open connecting the Flambeau Trail to Solberg Lake in the southern part of the county. If you have not rode the spectacular trails in the Park Falls Area, we highly recommend it! Your senses will be fully satisfied, anxious to come back again and again!

CITY OF PARK FALLS
Official ATV Route Map for the City of Park Falls
We have recently completed this new map of the Official City of Park Falls ATV Routes. Accessibility to and from these designated routes has been granted by City of Park Falls Ordinance as follows: "ATV's may access the designated routes in such a manner that would be the closest and most direct to that person's dwelling or lodging. In addition, a person may operate their ATV on city streets, other than Hwy 13, to and from a designated route to the following: Service Stations, Restaurants, Taverns, Stores or Business, Place of employment, or for Lawn care or Snowplowing duties." (UTVs are also governed by this ordinance while the Price County UTV Trial Period is in effect). This commitment made by the City of Park Falls is the reason we are known as an ATV/UTV friendly area! Don't take our word for it, fuel up your ATV/UTV and come enjoy the experience for yourself!

TUSCOBIA TRAIL TEMPORARILY RE-ROUTED:
Due to record amounts of rainfall received earlier this year, a long-standing culvert was unfortunately washed out. Thus, the trail is temporarilty closed from Martin Street in Radisson (Sawyer County) to Weirgor Road (Sawyer County). The effected section is barricaded and signed. Work is currently underway to construct a bridge over this section. A detour route has been established temporarily to ensure seemless travel for trail users. All of these roads are designated routes and are properly signed as such. In addition, maps showing the detoured route, and orange signs with black directional arrows have been placed to assist trail users. We will continue to post updates on the trails repair progress as it becomes available to us. Please contact us if you have any questions.

BASIC ATV/UTV SAFETY:
*Be sure your all-terrain vehicle is in top notch mechanical condition at all times.
*All operators at least 12 years of age must complete an ATV Safety Certification Course in order to operate on public ATV trails and most areas in Wisconsin.
*Familiarize yourself with ATV/UTV you're operating; read the manual in detail that accompanies the ATV/UTV.
*Wear sensible, protective clothing.
*Use a full-size helmet, goggles, or visor to prevent injuries from twigs, stones, or other flying debris.
*Avoid wearing loose clothing. It may get caught in moving parts of the ATV/UTV.
*Know the terrain you are going to ride. If it is unfamiliar to you, ask someone who has traveled it before.
*Know the weather forecast.
*Always use the buddy system when possbile. Not only is this a wise safety choice, but trail riding will definately be more fun! Never ride off alone or unaccompanied without notifying someone of your intended route and estimated return arrival time.
*Do not pursue contact with domestic or wild animals. No true sportsman would stoop to such conduct! If you see a violation of this rule, report it to the nearest law enforcement officer.
*Even if you do not plan to ride at night, be sure your lighting system is in proper working order at all times.
*Only one person (the operator) should be on an ATV.
*It is the responsibility of all ATV/UTV operators to make the sport a safe one!
