 For the ATV enthusiast, the Flambeau Trails System is an interconnecting network of trails comprising approximately 70 miles. The trails vary in length from less than one mile to over 23 miles and are open to ATVs from May 1 - March 14. Many lakes, streams and the South Fork of the Flambeau River are accessible from the Flambeau Trails. The Tuscobia State Trail is an abandoned rail corridor turned recreational trail and has 62 miles of trails open to ATVs from April 15 - November 15. The Flambeau River State Forest Trail is a 40 mile trail and is open to ATVs from May 15 - November 15.
UTVs NOW ALLOWED ON PRICE COUNTY TRAILS!
All trails and routes that have been open to ATV's are now open to UTV's EXCEPT The Flambeau Trail & Dead Horse. Hopefully by Sept we will be able to tell you that they too will allow UTV's!!
We are in the process of redoing our entire ATV map for the Park Falls routes so that the clarity is better and the following access to routes information, by city ordinance, is noted: ATV's may access the designated routes in such a manner that would be the closest and most direct to that person's dwelling or motel room. In addition, a person may operate their ATV on city streets, other than Hwy 13, to and from a designated route to the following:
Service Station
Restaurant
Tavern
Store or Business
Place of employment
Lawn care or Snowplowing duties
This amount of access by the City of Park Falls is definitely the reason that we are known as a very ATV Friendly area!!!

BASIC ATV SAFETY CODE:
*Be sure your all-terrain vehicle is in topnotch mechanical condition at all times.
*Familiarize yourself with ATV you're driving; read the manual in detail that accompanies the ATV.
*Wear sensible, protective clothing.
*Use a full-size helmet, goggles, or visor to prevent injuries from twigs, stones, and flying debris.
*Avoid wearing loose clothing. It may get caught in moving parts of the ATV.
*Know the terrain you are going to ride.
*If unfamiliar to you, ask someone who has traveled over it before.
*Know the weather forecast.
*Always use the buddy system. Never ride off alone or unaccompanied.
*Do not pursue domestic or wild animals. No true sportsman would stoop to such conduct. If you see a violation of this rule, report it to the nearest law enforcement officer.
*If you ride at night, be sure you have a proper operating lighting system on the ATV.
*Only one person (the operator) should be on an ATV.
